Between Nuts, Citrus, and Community

Seilyn Jimenez from Abuelos Cafe

Women Powered Coffee with Real Impact

Seilyn expands our commitment to empowering coffee communities. Since 2024, through the Coffee Circle Foundation e.V., we’ve been investing in six global projects – including one in Costa Rica, created together with the NGO Bean Voyage.

Bean Voyage supports women coffee farmers with training, access to finance, and mentorship. That’s how we met Seilyn Jimenez, the farmer behind this remarkable natural, whose coffee instantly won us over. Together with Mayra Solis, another local farmer from the same region, they create a complex and vibrant espresso – chocolatey, nutty, with a hint of fruit. Mayra’s anaerobically fermented beans (25%) add a fine fruitiness that harmonizes beautifully with Seilyn’s classic sweet-nutty character.

A Distinctive Natural Espresso from Costa Rica’s Highlands

An exciting natural espresso blend from the highlands of Costa Rica
The beans for this exceptional natural espresso come from the Tarrazú region – one of the most renowned coffee growing regions in the mountains of Costa Rica.

The ripe cherries are hand-picked, sorted in a water bath, and then dried in the sun for about three weeks on raised drying beds using a natural processing method. During this time, they are regularly turned to ensure even drying.

For fans of fruity and complex coffees with intriguing flavors, this method of processing is ideal. Mayra’s beans first undergo a 36-hour anaerobic fermentation, which further intensifies the fruity notes. The result is a creamy espresso with a nutty-chocolate profile and exciting fruity flavors – both lively and warming at the same time.

Tips for Preparation

Seilyn shines in espresso machines, moka pots, or the AeroPress. Whether you’re a fan of Flat White or Cappuccino, this expressive espresso pairs beautifully with milk or plant-based alternatives – or enjoy it pure for a cozy, full-bodied experience.

Seilyn stands for Women Powered Coffee – a natural espresso with character, depth, and purpose. This special Arabica from Costa Rica brings comfort and a bright twist to your cup, celebrating craftsmanship and equality in every sip.
